Texas House Republican Voting Cohesion

This network shows recurring same-side voting among Republican members on roll calls that divided the caucus. Pairwise agreement is adjusted for each member's usual voting pattern and the difficulty of each roll call.

Minimum agreement above baseline
thicker line = more agreement above baseline ring = stable voting group identified through bootstrap consensus separate clusters = disconnected components at the selected threshold drag a portrait to reposition a member and the member's connections
Connections must meet all evidence criteria: positive cluster-normal z, BH q≤.01, agreement at least 5 percentage points above the model baseline, a positive refit bill-bootstrap 95% confidence interval, and a positive effect in at least 97.5% of bootstrap samples. The display threshold filters this primary-threshold set without recomputing or ranking connections. Connections describe recorded-vote patterns, not personal relationships, coordination, influence, or formal caucus membership. At +5 pp, the optional readable backbone displays a maximum spanning tree plus each member's two strongest local connections; selecting a portrait reveals all qualifying connections for that member.
